She Rolled!!!
Well I will put up pictures later but wanted to remain true to my word of posting once a week!! Anyway, this has been a good week. Savanna rolled over for the first time on Thursday but I was not there to see it and TC only saw it from the corner of his eye!! She had pooped and leaked through her diaper and TC put her on the floor on her belly while he cleaned up the changing pad on the pack and play and from the corner of his eye he saw her roll over! He said his first thought was, OH you rolled over!! But then his second thought was, "Wait you have poop on your back!" But luckily it did not get on the carpet! Anyway, he put her on her tummy again and she rolled onto her side but not onto her back again! We were very excited! She had not rolled over by her 4 month checkup so we asked the doctor about it and he said the actual time frame for rolling over is between 3-6 months with chubby babies being on the higher end but she did it! We are hoping she will do it soon so we can get it on video and post it here on our blog! She is awake and alert a lot more now and hitting and reaching for objects all the time. She has laughed out loud a few times but does not do it consistently. It is so much fun to watch her change and grow! We think she may be teething as well because she is starting to chew on everything and her naps are a bit more restless and choppy. We will see about that. I (Ashley) have had a bad cold this week but feeling somewhat better today. Savanna seems to have a little one again as well. Well hope you are all doing well! I will post some more pictures right now but now trying to get a few things done before Savanna wakes up like fold the laundry!!

It is so fun to watch them grow up. Especially when they start to roll over. That seems to be the beginning of new adventures.
Yeah for Savanna! i want to come see you so badly. I was in Spokane for the last two weeks and now I am getting over a little cold or else I would arrange something. I miss you.
Just so you are not worried, (because i know you never are, J/k) The first time Lucy rolled she did it 3 times in a row, but then she didn't do it again for what seems like 2 months. i started worrying that she had brain problems and was digressing in her skills, but the doctor said that happens a lot and eventually she did do it again. Just let her take it at her own pace!
SOmetimes as a Mom we are so tempted to try to keep up with everyone else and hope that our babies will be number one at everything, but babies have there very own personality and some are just more interested in doing some things than others things. Later in life we will know our child is good at art or singing or reading or whatever, but right now all we have to go on is ridiculous milestones like rolling and sitting and crawling, and the timing of those things really says nothing about a kid, but it is the only thing people seem to ask about.
When i get tempted to compare Lucy's milestones I remind myself that she is her very own person with her own free will and personality and then I am way less worried about what anyone else's kid is doing or what age she is reaching milestones.
