Welcome Baby Eva!

Our sweet Eva Lake Perry was born on April 17th at 7:17 p.m. She weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces and was 20 inches long. Eva surprised by being a day late and we also thought we were in for another 9 pounder! So far Eva has been a happy, sweet, easy baby and we're really enjoying her. We're hoping it stays that way.
So labor story (sorry if this is TMI for anyone reading this but I want to remember it) I was having contractions on and off for weeks. Then Saturday night I had strong contractions that were waking me up. Then Sunday morning they went away which was frustrating so I went ahead and went to stake conference. After stake conference I was having some cramping so I laid down for a bit. Then when I went to the bathroom and lost my mucous plug. I timed my contractions they were 4 minutes apart. We went to the hospital at about 4 and I was dilated to a 5. They gave me an epidueral and broke my water at a 7. Then the nurse asked if they could give me a tiny bit of pitocin. So they did 20 minutes later I was dilated to a ten and after 5 pushes Eva was born! Here are some fun pictures of her. The kids are absolutely loving her!

More Fun

So here's a few more things we were up to in April. Grandma came for a week and half because my mom had to postpone her flight because my dad and her got the stomach flu. We had a great time with her and she was very helpful. She was here for a bit before the baby was born and helped out quite a bit. She helped clean my car, organize the garage, clean out some closets, plant some flowers, etc. It was a lot of fun.

Clark is now on a spring soccer league! He is enjoying it and doing really well. He's already made several goals.
Clark and I went on a date to a dinosaur exhibit at the South Towne Expo Center. It was a lot of fun for him but very overpriced but it was fun to spend time with him.

Clark turned 6 on April 6th! I still can't believe he's that old! We love our Clark man and are so glad he's in our family. We had a bit of a two day celebration for his birthday since TC had to teach the night of his birthday but he did end up taking the day off the day of his birthday. On April 5th we went and saw Zootopia. Then Clark opened his presents-he got a game, book and a remote control car. Unfortunately he broke the remote control car the next day by accident. Amazon is letting us return it though thank goodness since it's $80. Then we spent the day at Classic Fun Center. He really wanted to go there for his birthday. It was a lot of fun. The kids played on the bounce houses, roller skated, did the jungle, and did arcade games. I think he had a really fun birthday!

Savanna and I went on a date together to get pedicures done before I had the baby. I almost didn't post this picture because I look so pregnant and I gain so much weight and I have my lovely varicose vein but I don't think hardly anyone looks at this anymore and I'll look back on it once I look better after I get back to where I want after having my baby.

More of what we've been up to

Savanna had to do a report on someone she read about in a biography. Then they did an event at her school called the wax museum where they dressed up as this person and had to recite some facts about them. Savanna dressed up as Michelle Kwan. She looked so pretty and did a great job. Now her and Clark are both off track until April 25th! Trying to have some fun and do some outings before the baby gets here!

TC had Good Friday off so we went up to the Treehouse Musuem and spent the day there. It was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed it.

We had a fun Easter weekend. We went to an Easter egg hunt on Saturday and then Savanna went with me for the first time to the Women's Conference that night. We went with her best friend, Sadie, and her mom,Marthe. who is one of my best friends and then we got a treat. We had a good time. Savanna did manage to sleep through probably 70% of her first conference though. Oh well! We also got the kids Easter outfits which you'll see below. Unfortunately TC woke up with food poisoning on Easter so he was sick all day. The kids and I went to church, decorated Easter eggs, and my brother came up for dinner.

Clark decided he really wanted to do soccer this spring and he had his first game on Saturday. He's actually really good! He scored two goals! It was fun to watch him.

We enjoyed conference this past weekend and Clark and I went on a date to the Dinosaur Expo. Clark had a really good time but it was way overpriced especially for adults but it was still a lot of fun to spend one on one time with him. Afterwards we had dinner at Wendy's. He's such a cute kid. Can't believe he'll be 6 tomorrow!
