11 months!

We cannot believe that our darling, little Savanna is eleven months old! It is crazy to think this time next month she will be a year old. Time really does fly with a baby. It is exciting for her to be getting older, changing and growing but a little sad at the same time. Some days I just want to capture the stage she is in and keep it forever, Okay, sorry enough of the sappy stuff! It just naturally happens when you become a mom! So this has been a very big month for Savanna! She has grown, changed and developed quite a bit. Here is a summary of what she has been up to this last month. 1.Crawling! Savanna started crawling a few days after turning ten months and now is quite good at it. She pretty much gets around to wherever she needs to go. It is fun to finally see her crawling. I don't find it much more challenging than before she was mobile to be honest but that could change! We are still in the process of completely babyproofing our house so we will see how that goes. 2. Standing up on furniture-Savanna has discovered how to pull herself up on furniture and loves doing it every chance she can. 3. Walking along furniture 4. Walking!-Okay she is not really walking completely on her own but she definetely takes steps on her own and has walked clear across the room on her own. She walks better when she is holding on to one of our hands or is holding something in her hand. 5. Getting her first tooth-Savanna is finally getting her first tooth. We can see it but it has not completely pushed through yet. 6. Talking-Savanna has learned how to say five words: 1.Ma Ma 2. Da Da 3. Bear 4. Baby 5. Hi- The word she says most consistently is bear. She loves her Winnie the Pooh bear and says "bear" about ten times a day. It is really cute! 7. Clapping 8. Laughing-Savanna has been laughing for a long time but it has become a lot easier to get her to crack up. She especially finds her daddy to be hilarious! 9. Signing-We have seen Savanna sign "more" a couple times for more food. Well there it is-I will stop bragging about my child! I am sure this information is more interesting to me than anyone else. Well enjoy the following pictures of Savanna over the past month! Savanna at her first eye doctor appointment-She did not have the best time! (By the way for all you parents out there who have babies under a year-they can have their eyes checked out for free before a year and this is suggested to check for early problems!)

Daddy gave Savanna a mohawk after her bath!

Birthday weekend

So this will not be a bitter post-I promise! This weekend was a lot of fun! It was my birthday on Friday and TC went all out for a wonderful celebration! Thanks hun! Also to update you we are finally recovered from our illness. Hopefully it will last for awhile.
So Thursday afternoon through Friday morning my brother, Spenser, was nice enough to babysitt Savanna so TC and I could have a nice outing. Thanks so much Spenser!!
We started the day by having lunch at The Olive Garden.
Then we headed up to Armstrong Mansion in Salt Lake where we had a free night's stay. It was a cute place. We stayed in a nice suite with a kitchen, dining and living room area, and a bedroom. It was a bed and breakfast so we got a nice buffet breakfast in the morning. Here are some pictures of the place. That night TC surprised me with tickets to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra winter concert. We had a blast! For those of you that have never seen them in concert, I highly recommend it. They put on a great show. It was almost three hours long without an intermission. The lights and special effects were awesome along with the music. After that we headed back to the hotel, had breakfast the following morning, and then headed back home. It was a nice getaway-very relaxing! On Friday night we had a gettogether with family. TC's brother, James, is in town so we were able to spend time with him. It was a wonderful birthday! Thanks to everyone for making it special! Savanna with Aunt April-apparently from the ribbon on her head she thinks it is her birthday! Saturday we took a trip to Toys R' Us to go birthday and Christmas shopping for Savanna. It was a lot of fun-I love shopping for her. Of course since she doesn't understand yet she went with us and so did TC's brother, James. He was a trooper helping us pick out gifts! Here are some pictures of Savanna playing. Saturday evening we were able to spend time with James and a couple friends. It was a wonderful weekend and it was great having James here and being able to spend time with him and TC's sisters.

When it rains it pours.....

So today was just one of those days when all the odds seemed to be stacked up against me. It started with Savanna waking up at 5: 15 a.m. cooing. If any of you know our little girl you know what a great sleeper she is so this was bizarre and she wasn't crying-just awake. I gave her a pacifier and I could hear her playing through the monitor for about 20 minutes and then went back to sleep-thank goodness. Then about 8 this morning I loaded Savanna into the car to go jogging at the indoor track. I tried to start my car several times and nothing. We were able to jump start it and then drive it to the shop and my brother brought Savanna and I home. After unloading Savanna from the car where she had slept for a total of about 20 minutes I noticed she had leaked her pants (she is still not totally over her sickness and still has diarrhea). I proceeded to clean her up and then load her into the bath. As I am holding her and filling up the bathtub she pees all over me. Thank goodness my brother was still home so I was able to clean up and put new clothes on. Then about 20 minutes after her bath she has diarrhea again and leaks through her clothes again. (She has not had any since-thank goodness, sorry this post contains diarrhea talk). She is now clearly too awake to take her morning nap. Then I proceed to go downstairs and unload the whole dishwasher and then realized that the soap capsule did not dispense. After reloading the dishwasher and running it I noticed that it is leaking water. So I make a call to get a repair person out to look at it. The soonest they can come is tomorrow. While I am on the phone about the dishwasher the service representative calls back about the car and proceeds to tell me the car needs a new battery. Also the audio isn't working in my car and that needs to be fixed (thank goodness that is covered under warranty). Then while I am typing this blog Savanna wakes up screaming from a nap (which she hardly ever does) I have just got back from giving her a pacifier and I think she has quieted down. I am sorry for this bitter post. I just had to vent. It helps me feel better to write or express my problems. Oh and I also forgot to mention that while I was getting ready this morning to head up to the car place(still haven't jogged) Savanna was playing and knocked this little table over in my room that holds a lot of my pictures. Thank goodness it basically missed her and she was ok. Heavenly Father is still watching out for me!

Fall sickness!!

So I am usually pretty healthy and don't get sick very often so these past six weeks have been kind of crazy in the Perry household. It started the end of September and I got a cold followed by Savanna getting a cold. Then we were both better for about a week and then she got another cold, then I got it, followed by TC. Then we've been better for about 2 weeks and TC woke up early Tuesday morning throwing up and was down all day Tuesday. Then Savanna threw up that night. The next day I was very sick but am doing better now. My brother, Spenser, who lives in our basement now caught the stomach bug as well. Just crazy-at least it appears to be a 24 hour thing. Anyway, hopefully we are on the road to being a healthy household for awhile!!

Halloween Weekend

We had a fun weekend! Halloween night we went bowling with our friends, Devin and Naomi, who were so kind enough to invite us. We had a great time though I did not bowl as well as normal. Oh well! Then we went to a Halloween party and hung out there. There was great food! Unfortunately, I didn't bring my camera in so didn't get any pictures from there. Saturday TC and I were able to attend an emergency preparedness fair for our stake and then we went to The Gateway to do a little pre Christmas shopping and get some makeup for myself at Merle Norman that was discounted. That night I went to see Mama Mia with my friend, Ashley. That is a fun movie. Sunday we were able to hang out with TC's sisters, April and Marisha, and April's husband, George and Marisha's friend, Mark. Savanna loved getting all of the attention from her aunts and uncle! I just have to talk a little bit about Savanna's progress. I usually save this for the month update but I just can't wait. She is crawling all over the place now! It is so exciting! It is so fun to watch her grow and change. We love her so much! Enjoy the pics!

I found Savanna napping like this today. She was still sitting up leaving over her stuffed animal. It was so cute I just had to take a picture! And then I moved her so she wouldn't be stiff!

Savanna was the center of attention at our family gathering!

We took Savanna into Build-a-Bear at the Gateway and she had a blast! She loves stuffed animals especially bears!
Savanna and TC at Tucano's (We used my free birthday dinner and had a late lunch here at The Gateway) Bowling on Halloween (not the best picture-Savanna was screaming and not looking at the camera because she had just bonked her head but it is the only one we took.)
