Recent Highlights

So thought I just post about what we have been up to the last couple weeks-feedings, diaper changes, playing with friends, and making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. It is a lot of fun having these two little ones but wow it is a lot of work. It feels like I am constantly running around! Both Savanna and Clark are doing well though. Clark is growing bigger every day and last night he actually slept eight hours at night before waking up! But then he's been wanting to eat every two hours this morning so I don't know what I would rather have..maybe it won't stay that way. Anyway, here are some of the fun things we were able to do. Baby blessing-TC was working but I was able to go to a friend's baby blessing who have been living out of state for the past year and are now going to be gone the whole summer but will then be back in the fall. Their little girl is so precious and it was great to see them again and we look forward to them coming back. Ballet-TC got me ballet tickets for our anniversary and we were able to go out on a date! It was so fun to spend some time just the two of us. We went to Ballet West and they put on a program called, Innovations. It was very modern and interesting at times but we did enjoy it. Also we were able to enjoy the last couple weeks of American Idol and a few gettogethers with friends. Oh and hopefully the last snowfall for the season! Here are some pictures of Savanna and TC making a snowman and a few other fun pictures.

Oh and Happy Memorial Day! May we remember all those that have sacrificed for us so we can enjoy our freedom!

Happy Belated Mother's Day!

So yeah I'm finally getting around to posting about our Mother's Day. I had a great Mother's Day. TC's sister and her two little girls, his other sister and his mom all came down for a visit. Plus TC's sister that lives here spent the weekend with us. We all enjoyed spending time together just hanging out and TC's sister, Kristin, and her daughters were able to meet Clark for the first time. Mother's Day was relaxing but busy at the same time as we hurried around to take care of the kids and we talked to my brother, Jonathan, and TC's brother, James who are both on missions. TC was great and cooked breakfast and dinner and did most of the dishes. He tried to also change all the diapers the whole day but that turned out to be a bit of a challenge (I changed a few. We still have two kids in diapers but that will be changing soon hopefully! Savanna seems ready to be potty trained but we wanted to wait until she has adjusted to Clark so we are starting next month-June 22nd when she is 2.5. Wish us luck!) Anyway, I am so grateful to my mother and all she has done for me. She raised us in the Gospel and chose to stay home with us and raise us. She is a wonderful example to me. I am also grateful to my mother-in-law who also is a great example of service and a strong woman of faith. I love you both! I am also so grateful for all the wonderful mothers I see around me every day when interacting with friends and even strangers in the grocery store who I see caring for their children so well. It is nice to live in a place where there are so many mothers with young children because I never feel alone. I feel like I have a strong support system of wonderful mothers! Well hope you all had a great Mother's Day. Here are a few pictures from that weekend and just over the last little bit.

Savannaisms regarding her experience with her new little brother, Clark

So Savanna has been enjoying her little brother, most of the time. The last couple days have been a bit difficult. She has tried to throw some things at him and will try to help with him but is often too rough. We really have to watch her around him constantly but hopefully she will understand that she needs to be gentle with him. Anyway but TC and I were laughing about some of the funny things she has said about him, nursing, etc over the last few weeks. Thought we would share.
1. Mommy's milk dripping out. 2. Clark eats Mommy's chest. 3. Mommy feed Savanna? 4. Clark has arms. 5. Clark is very little. 6. When Clark gets bigger he can (go to the gym, park, etc) 7. No Kaytlin taka my boy (referring to her cousin coming this weekend and boy referring to Clark) 8. Clark is getting bigger and bigger. 9. No Clark taka my stuff. 10. Look, it's my baby brother! (to visitors who have come over) 11. Put Clark down (when she wants us to play or get her anything) 12. My do that (whenever she wants to help change Clark's diaper) 13. Mommy, don't forget the pee pee tepee! (while changing Clark's diaper) 14. Hi Clarke! (already has a nickname for him) 15. My family is Mommy, Daddy, and Clark. I'm sure there is more but that is what I can think of now. We love our Savanna and Clark and glad she can be a big sister!
