Happy Birthday Savanna!!

Savanna is officially one year old today! I can't believe it! I know this sounds cliche but time really has flown! We had a great day. We took her to get her pictures taken at JC Penney, then to Wingers for a free birthday lunch. Then later in the afternoon we went to Build-a-Bear and she picked out a bear, then to Jump on It in Lindon. She had a great day!! She was so happy and excited today. I think she knew it was a special day. I will post pictures later. (especially since we haven't given her presents yet because my aunt is coming into town tonight and she doesn't want to miss the family celebration for Savanna so we are going to do that tomorrow night). We have a lot of family in town for the holidays so I will have a lot of pictures to post of Savanna's birthday and the Christmas festivities. Plus I am just plain exhausted from the day's activities! I couldn't let the day go by however without posting and wishing our darling, little girl "Happy Birthday!" She is the joy and light of our lives! She is the sweetest little girl and we love her so much! Thank you to all our family and friends out there that have played a part in her life this past year!

Birthday party for Savanna

So we had an early birthday party for Savanna on Saturday with some family and a few friends. It was fun though Savanna was not in the best of spirits. She seemed to be not feeling well this weekend but appears better now. She wouldn't eat very much Saturday night and had a bit of a fever. We don't know if she caught a little bug or if those symptoms are just from teething. Anyway, as you can see from the pictures she looks very grumpy! It was sad too because she wouldn't eat any of her cake as we all stood watching her and she usually will eat anything! Oh well! You can't always predict babies' moods! Here are some pictures of the festivities.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

Well this week has been very busy preparing for Christmas!! I have been busy collecting addresses and sending out Christmas cards, on Thursday we got our tree up and all the other decorations and we have finished our Christmas shopping and the presents are wrapped underneath the tree!! I love the holiday feel in the air! Last night we went up to temple square to see the lights with some friends and tonight we are watching "A Christmas Story" with some friends. I have never seen it! This time of year is so fun! Enjoy the pics!

Fun videos

Finally, here are a video of Savanna! We stole them from my brother's camera. We still haven't figured out how to put the video footage from our camera in smaller segments on the computer so we can post them on our blog. We hopefully will figure that out soon. Anyway, enjoy!!

Thanksgiving

We just returned Sunday from celebrating Thanksgiving with my family in Florida this year. My grandfather owns a farm near Gainesville and a large amount of extended family gathered there for the holiday. Going to "the farm" for Thanksgiving has been a long tradition in my family. I can't remember a Thanksgiving before I was married that I did not spend at the farm. However, we have not been to the farm for Thanksgiving since 2005-the year we were married. We spent Thanksgiving of 2006 with the Perry family which was a blast and last year I was too close to my due date to travel and TC's family was nice enough to drive down to Utah to spend Thanksgiving with us. Anyway, it was great to go back to the farm! There was over twenty people total there between our little family, my parents, my brothers, my cousins, Grandpa, aunts and uncles. Savanna had a great time and got a Ton of attention!! Thank you Grandpa for once again hosting such a wonderful Thanksgiving. We love you and we love all our family that we were able to spend time with. It was nice to visit with family that we do not see very much with living so far away. Here are some pictures of the festivities!
