Someone was excited there was snow on the ground today!

So Savanna woke up and was just SO excited to see snow on the ground! She must be a native to Utah. I think snow is pretty to look at but I do not really like to play in it or be out when it is really cold and snowy. I guess I am still partially a Florida girl! I also always worry that playing out in the snow too long will give my kids pneumonia. I know I'm a bit of a paranoid mother. Nevertheless, I bundled Savanna up and let her play outside for fifteen minutes. She was even out there when the snow was coming down. What a sweet little girl we have! Oh and here are some funny little things she has said lately. Hope you enjoy hearing them! 1. Me: "Savanna, where did you put Clark's socks?" Savanna: "I don't know. Maybe the dog ate them" (Do we have a dog? No.) 2. We were outside one day and she heard a neighbor boy calling inside his house to his mother and she was not responding. Savanna: "Where is his mommy?" Me: "I'm not sure. In the house somewhere." Savanna:"She probably died." (Yeah this one is not that funny. Not sure where she got this from except we told her she can get hurt when she gets hit from cars and we explained to her why daddy was crying the night he found out his good friend from high school died.) 3. We were trying to explain to Savanna about strangers. She responded, "If a stranger took me to his house he would probably eat me." 4. She was not wanting Clark around her and she said, "Someone take him away." We said where should we take him. She said "To Jesus." 5. The other night we put Savanna to bed after going to a Halloween party where her and Clark wore her costumes. (We went to two Halloween parties this weekend and did I remember to bring my camera to take pictures of my cute kids? No! Thank goodness there is still trick or treating!). Anyway, I heard her calling "Mommy! Mommy" very anxiously. I went up and she said "Trick or treating! We forgot." It was really cute. I had to explain to her that we would still go trick or treating. Anyway, it is so fun to listen to the cute things she says.

Pumpkin Patch

So Monday night we went as a family to pick out a nice big pumpkin for Savanna and a little baby one for Clark. There is a farm close by where you could pick out your pumpkin and we all had great time. We even got to take a tractor ride around the farm. Here are some cute pictures from the evening. Oh and off topic but FYI I did get the lipstick out of most of our clothes-thank goodness.

Clark's 6 Month Photos

Here are some of Clark's six month pictures. TC's sister, April, is a photographer and she took them. She takes fantastic pictures so if you are looking for a photographer check out her website or let me know and I can give you her info. She takes pictures for just about anything-weddings, engagements, family, babies, etc. Thanks again April!

Can't Blame my Stupidity on Pregnancy anymore...

So I found my lipstick that I have been searching for the past few days. Unfortunately I found it in the dryer after it had fallen out of the pocket of one of my pants. Therefore, the lipstick is ruined and there are lipstick smudges on about half of the clothes (all of which are TC's or mine). I scrubbed the big stains with Oxi Clean and rewashed them with Oxi Clean as well. Wish me luck!

Clark's 6 month stats

So we took Clark to his 6 month doctor's appointment yesterday. He is healthy and doing well! His hernia also seems to have resolved itself so it looks like he most likely will not need surgery. Yeah! That was a relief. He is growing well and is still a big boy. But believe it or not Savanna was chubbier than him at 6 months (she was 22 pounds). I do not think she was as tall as him though. Anyway, before I even got married I would tell everyone "I love fat babies. The fatter my babies are the better!" Apparently, my wish was granted (and I do think skinny babies are cute too for the record. There is just something about fat babies for me.) Anyway, here are Clark's 6 month stats. We love our cute little guy! Weight: 21 pounds 10 ounces: 97th percentile Height: 28.2 inches: 97th percentlie Head circumference: 97th percentile

Savanna Update-almost 34 months

So Savanna is getting more and more grown up every day. As mentioned before the big event for her this month was getting her ear tubes. She did so great with her surgery. She acted like the same silly Savanna all day. Savanna has been enjoying her play groups, music class and gym class that we do together. She also loves going to the playground and swinging on the swings mostly. Savanna's favorite thing in the world though is her books. She loves to "read" her books. She will read herself to sleep for her naps and at bedtime and many other times throughout the day. Actually she can read a few words that we have taught her (some being names of family members). These words include: TC, Ashley, Clark, April, Savanna, up, truck, red, and bed. Savanna loves her little brother, Clark, and is a good big sister to him. She is a lot more gentle with him than she used to be. She will hug him and say, "Hello little guy." "He's so cute." etc. Savanna talks up a storm. We love listening to her. She talks in full sentences, complete thoughts, etc. She also is now night potty trained as well and stays dry all night long. She can go to the bathroom and wash her hands all by herself. It is amazing how grown up she is getting. Here are a list of some funny things that she has said this past month. I just love to document them for myself but thought you would enjoy them as well. 1. Talking about a woman she saw: "Mommy, she is an old lady." 2. "Mommy, you are a sweet girl with two kids." 3. To her grandma in the hot tub last weekend, Savanna: "Grandma, do you like the hot pool?" Grandma: "Yes I do." Savanna: "May I pee in it?" 4.Talking about April's dog Me: "Savanna you love Cricket huh? He's so cute." Savanna: "Mommy, Cricket is not a boy. She's a GIRL!" 5. talking about a friend's baby named Paisley (who is several months younger than Clark) "Mommy, Paisley is really little. Clark is not really little. He is BIG. He is a BIG BOY!" I'm sure there are more but here are a couple cute pictures of her this month. How we love our sweet Savanna!

Savanna insisted on sitting and waiting for TC to come home one afternoon. (She knew he was coming home in about 10 minutes). She adores her daddy!
I asked Savanna to entertain Clark one morning while I was finishing up getting ready. I guess to her this meant getting about every toy he owned out of his room. It was too cute not to take a picture of though.
This was taken by TC's sister, April, after Savanna tried to climb up these rocks that she was not supposed to.

Clark update-6months

So it is hard to believe but Clark turned 6 months on the 6th of this month! Time really is flying by. Clark is doing well and brings such joy to our family. He is very smiley and loves playing with Savanna and getting lots of attention. He absolutely loves to eat and eats A LOT. Foods he has eaten now include: cereal, sweet potatoes, pears, apples, bananas, avocados, carrots. He is sleeping through the night most of the time now. He now also learned to sit up and loves blowing raspberries (he has even started doing it when we are feeding him which can make a bit of a mess). Anyway, here are a few pictures from this month. We love our little guy!

Conference Weekend

So we had a great conference weekend with TC's parents, two of his sisters, April and Marisha, and Marisha's boyfriend, Forrest. We stayed up in a Wyndham hotel/house in Northern Utah. The whole weekend was wonderfully relaxing and it was hard to go back to normal life. Savanna and Clark were great the whole weekend. Savanna especially loves being with her family! We enjoyed watching conference, playing games, pigging out on sweets (I think I may have gained a couple pounds back that I lost from food poisoning-lol), going hot tubbing, taking walks, playing tether ball, pool, and horseshoes. I am grateful to have such wonderful in-laws who treat us so well! Thanks again for a great weekend!

More Family Fun

So we have done a few more fun things this past month including going to the circus and the Utah state fair. Savanna had a great time doing both of these things. She loved all the animals at the fair and she loved the animals at the circus as well. Unfortunately I did not bring my camera to the circus but here are a couple from the fair.

So I tried to get Savanna on the roller coaster but I think I missed her. Oops.
