Clark update-2 years 9.5 months

So Mr. Clark is growing up. Clark's big accomplishment is he is now potty trained during the day. He is even waking up with dry diapers about half the time. He still has an occasional accident here and there but overall is doing very well. He always wants us to help him go to the bathroom though so it still seems like as much work as diapers.
Clark continues to like going to gym class though we probably will take a break from that for a bit after the baby's born. He also started taking a music class in January which he is seems to be enjoying though he is very serious during it and always wants to stay by me. (Both gym and music are a parent/child class.)
Clark loves to play with his cars, watch movies, eat, pretend, and do whatever Savanna is doing. Recently he has been into talking about dragons and how they are going to get us. He loves to race through the house like Lightning Mcqueen saying "Kachow!" or Show time!"
We love our little man! He's so much fun to have around. Here are some of this favorite things.
Favorite color: GREEN! (Seriously he colors everything green, always wants the green balls or bells at gym class. He really likes green!)
Favorite food: Cantaloupe! (He goes crazy for it.)
Favorite movie: Cars
Favorite song: Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam
Best friend: Savanna

Savanna update

So our Savanna is 5 years old! I still can't believe I have a 5 year old. I remember when she was my chubby little baby. It some ways it seems like a long time ago but in many ways it seems like just yesterday. Now we have almost 3 kids. Crazy!
Savanna is doing well and is learning and growing every day. She loves going to preschool, dance class and playing with friends. She also has been very into coloring, drawing, and crafts lately. She draws or colors several pictures a day. She has a very vivid imagination as well and loves to play pretend games especially with Clark. Lately they have been having a lot of picnics and pretending they are at church.Savanna loves spending time with her family and likes helping Daddy with projects. She also has been helping with more chores. She is in charge of emptying the silverware from the dishwasher, making her bed and setting the table. I also can occasionally get her to fold laundry or help clean. The other day she organized our bathroom and our closet. She did a pretty good job! She is also getting very excited for her baby sister to come!

We love our Savanna! Here are some of her favorites to record along with some fun quotes over the past little bit.
(She answered these questions herself. Sometimes they change.)
Favorite color: Blue (and sometimes pink)
Favorite food: Pasta
Favorite movie: The Little Mermaid (this changes daily)
Favorite princess: Cinderella and Ariel
Best friend: Sadie
Favorite song: I Love to see the Temple

Savanna's birthday party

Savanna had a great birthday party at The Little Gym this past Saturday with some of her friends. She loved it and all the kids seemed to have a good time. They were able to play in the gym for an hour and then eat cake and watch Savanna open presents. The staff did a great job keeping the kids in check and playing fun games with them. Savanna was so protective of Clark the whole time they were in the gym and always wanted to make sure he was right by her. It was pretty cute!
Here are some fun pictures from her party!

Christmas!

We spent Christmas with my family at my parent's townhome. We actually stayed there a little over a week and TC was still able to go to work. We had a lot of fun and the kids loved spending time with family. Christmas Eve was spent in the morning at the mall then we came home relaxed and the kids baked cookies and wrote letters to Santa. We ate at Red Robin for dinner. (This has become my parents' tradition.) Then we came home, acted out the nativity and watched some movies about the birth of Jesus Christ and then the kids went to bed. The adults all watched Elf and set up our final preparations.
Christmas Day was fun. It took us about 2.5 hours to open all the presents. My mom really likes to spoil all of us. The kids had a blast and got a lot of fun stuff. Santa brought Savanna a Crayola Light Designer and he brought Clark an air jumper for his cars plus he got them both an electric tooth brush. Their stockings were also stuffed full of great stuff. Nana and Papa also got the kids Big Wheels.
The rest of the day was spent eating yummy food, playing with the toys and games, talking with family and watching a couple of movies. It was a great day.
I have a lot more pictures from our time down at my parents but the way TC told me to put pictures up is being really annoying and not working anymore. It is so tedious and it's driving me crazy. I think I'm just going to have to buy more storage space but for now these are some pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The rest of the week we enjoyed hanging out, going to the Provo Beach Resort, going to the Dinosaur Museum, eating at the Cracker Barrel and seeing some Christmas lights. AAh I love Christmas. January is a bit of a downer for me. Of course this year we have a new baby to look forward to that will be here in not too long! (I have a schedule induction February 7th if I don't have her before then.)

Savanna update-5 years old

Savanna is turning into quite the big girl and we love her very much! Savanna  now has a few chores that she is responsible for such as setting the table, making her bed and unloading the silverware. It seems to help her learn responsibility by doing this. Savanna still loves to direct her little brother and has gotten quite creative in her play. Savanna continues to love preschool, dance, and playing with friends. Recently she has really gotten into coloring. She colors and draws pictures multiple times a day. Savanna is very excited for her little baby sister to come! Savanna continues to love to spend time with her family. Some of her favorite things still include: princesses, movies, crafts, reading books, pretending, and the color blue. We love our little girl! She's growing up so fast! Here are a few of her recent quotes though I am not remembering very many. It must be my pregnant brain!

  • "Mommy we are being very creative aren't we?
  • "Mommy I love your hands!"
  • "Mommy I want to wear my hair down like you."
  • (When a man got up to bear his testimony in church) "That guy's really old."
  • "Mommy you are doing very good with this puzzle. Good job!"
  • "Mommy I love your big belly!"
  • "Clark is so cute. He's our little man."

Savanna's 5!

Savanna turned 5 on December 22nd. We can't believe how old she is getting. She is so much fun and such a big girl! Savanna had a fun packed day on her birthday. It started with breakfast in bed, a trip to Build a Bear, a fun afternoon at Planet Play, and then my family came over for pizza and Savanna opened her presents and we ate cake. Savanna loved all her presents: She got some puzzles,a Snow white fashion set, a Rapunzel doll and horse, a book, a scooter, some coloring stuff, and squinkies. I'll have to do an update on Savanna later. I'll still need to catch up on Christmas too. For now enjoy the pictures!
