Recent Christmas Fun!

Here are some fun recent pictures of us enjoying the Christmas season. I was able to put most of the pictures up that I wanted but then it started being weird and saying they couldn't post the last ones. Sigh. I get frustrated with computers sometimes! But here are most of them. We have loved decorating, enjoying Christmas concerts and events, reading the Grinch over and over again, wrapping presents, and enjoying time with friends and family. I just love the holidays!! (That one is for you Candace and Nate lol. Sorry this statement won't make any sense except to them. It's a little joke we have.)

Thanksgiving Trip

So TC finally had a chance to look at the blog and gave me a tedious alternative to getting my pictures on the blog so here are some pictures from Thanksgiving and I will have to post more over the last couple of weeks another time. Anyway we had a great time in Washington with TC's family for Thanksgiving!(Besides Clark being pretty sick and miserable for a few days.) It was so fun because all of TC's siblings, spouses and kids were there plus TC's cousin-Kayla. We also found out that TC's sister April and his sister Marisha are both having girls! (That will make Clark the only grandson on TC's side out of 8 by the end of April of 2013!) They both announced it to us on Thanksgiving day in fun ways! Marisha and her husband Forrest got a box full of pink balloons and dumped it out and April and Grant had the kids bust open a pinata full of pink candy! Besides that we enjoyed talking with each other, eating a lot of food, playing games, going to the temple, the movies, the guys playing football and Kristin and John even braved some Black Friday sales! Savanna absolutely loved being with her cousins! (Kristin and John's kids-Lexi-6, Kaytlin-4, Addison-1.5 years). Lexi, Kaytlin and Savanna were pretty much inseparable the whole trip! So fun! We wish they didn't live so far away! And TC's mom was awesome and had prepared all these fun crafts and activities for them that they loved doing. What an awesome grandma! Enjoy the pictures even though I don't really have time to explain them all. Sorry!

Clark update-2 years 8 months

Oh our little man! How adorable he is!! So Clark's tantrurms have subsided tremendously. What I thought were the terrible twos I think were him adjusting to the move. His behavior was significantly worse the couple weeks before we moved and the first two weeks after we moved. I am relieved to have my Clark back! Don't get me wrong he still has his moments but nothing like before. He is not throwing huge fits like he was before and I am not feeling like I just can't take any more of him by the end of the day! Of course I'm worried he may have some more behavior issues when the baby comes...I'm afraid he's going to have a rough time adjusting. He is a mama's boy and will probably be jealous.
Clark is growing up so fast! His ability to communicate always amazes TC and I. He talks very well and expresses his feelings quite well. Clark can recognize all his numbers, colors, and some of his letters. He can count to about 15. His favorite things right now include cars, cars, cars. He especially likes all the Disney cars. He also has been really into playing games lately and is quite good at them, His favorite are Cars Memory, Dominoes, and Candy Land. Clark enjoys his gym class and is a good way to get his energy out. Clark appears to be starting to fade out his naps much to my dismay since Savanna napped until just a few months ago. I will put him in his room though for an hour every day for quiet or nap time. Sometimes he sleeps and sometimes he doesn't. When he does sleep though I will wake him up after an hour and a half or he will stay up too late at night. However lately when he doesn't nap he hasn't been passing out at 5 or 6 or acting really grumpy like he was a month ago. So maybe he is ready to be done with naps. We'll see. It's a bit of an adjustment for me because I had 2 or 3 hours in the day when my kids would nap for so long where I was able to get a lot done and now I only have about one where I tell my kids to play quietly...and it's not quite the same as when they are sleeping. Guess that just means they'll have to help with more chores while they are awake!
Also we started potty training Clark a few days ago and it is going very well! We have him in training pants whenever we are home and he has not had one accident! The only thing is he doesn't want to go poop on the potty so he'll wait until I put a diaper on him for napping or when he has one on when we are out. (Savanna was the same way. Pee was easier to train than poop!) So it's obvious he has the control. I think I'll give it a couple more days and just tell him it's time to say bye to diapers completely(except when sleeping of course. I figure he'll just start waking up dry on his own.At least that is what happened to Savanna just a couple weeks after we day trained her.)  It's always scary to take them out the first time without diapers but I think he's ready. I am actually pleasantly suprised by how well he is doing.
Anyway we love our little Clark. Now I'll leave you with a few of his recent quotes.

  • "I like Naomi and Santa."
  • "Mommy you are so cute!"
  • (To a boy in front of us in church who was coloring Lightning yellow) "Lightning is not yellow. Lightning is red!" We tried to hush him and as we did he grabbed his coloring book with a picture of Lighting on it and hung it over the bench while saying "See! See! Lightning is not yellow! Lightning is red!" He kept saying it over and over again and TC had to take him out. I was laughing pretty hard. When TC brought him back in he nodded his head and said "Lightning is red."
  • "Mommy you are so cute." Me:"Clark you are so cute." Clark:"No I am not cute!"
  • "I am not a kid. I am a boy. Sponge Bob is a kid." (He has become really into Sponge Bob lately which is random because he doesn't watch Sponge Bob. We do have Sponge Bob dominoes that Savanna got for her birthday a couple years ago that we have been playing a lot recently so I guess that may be why he likes him so much.
  • (In the car while following TC in our friend's truck to get a Christmas tree) "I love Daddy. He's so cute." Savanna: "No he's not cute. He is handsome." Clark: "No he is not handsome. He is cute." My attempts at trying to convince them that Daddy is cute and handsome did not stop them from arguing for a few more minutes.
  • (When saying goodbye to his Aunt April) "I love you so much!"
We love our little guy!

Savanna Update

So I've been trying to do an update on our Thanksgiving trip with pictures and blogger is telling me I have no more storage space to add pictures? Apparently it's store all my pictures in Picassa but then when I try to delete them it won't let me. Ugh if anyone knows how to fix this problem let me know. I'm not super great at computers. I'll have to ask my computer whiz husband to help later tonight. Anyway but I wanted to do an update on the kids anyway and don't need pictures for that.

Savanna is almost 5. Crazy! We love our little girl. She is a lot of fun. She is loving preschool and her dance class. She loves primary and playing with friends. She has become much more outgoing lately. She had a blast Thanksgiving playing with her cousins. One of her favorite things is to spend time with her family! Savanna has also gotten more into pretending lately. The other day I was getting ready and she ran in yelling "Fire! Fire!" I was startled for a second until I saw she had on a fat from Firehouse subs and a coffee mug from her play kitchen and then I knew she was pretending. She loves to direct Clark and get him involved in pretending. Savanna is loving Christmas and loves to help wrap presents. Savanna still loves princesses, the color blue, books, coloring, dancing and watching movies.

Here are of course some of her recent quotes. I haven't been as good at keeping track of them lately but these are the ones I remember.

  • "Mommy aren't you beautiful and lovely!"
  • "Mommy your belly is really big!"
  • "Mommy I hope that vein goes away on your leg. It's really ugly." (Yes I've been blessed this pregnancy with a lovely varicose vein.)
  • "Mommy when the baby comes I will help a lot. Clark and I will be tired by the end of the day because of all our hard work."
  • "I am not into you today Mommy. I am into my cousins."
  • "Clark is really into Daddy today."
  • (On the way home from Washington) "Turn around Mommy. I want to go back. Go back the other way."
  • (On the way home from Washington) "I want to live in Washington with Grandma and Grandpa."
  • (On the way home from WA) "I miss my cousins."
  • (On the way home from WA) "Why do you like Utah more than WA?"
  • (On the way home from WA) "Let's move all of our friends and my preschool to Washington."
  • "Mommy I love your hands!"
What a funny little girl!
