Happy Birthday to Savanna-wait make that sad, sick day to Savanna!

So today was Savanna's birthday. She is two years old! We still can't believe that so much time has flown by. So the day started out great. We got up, gave Savanna breakfast in bed and showed her the two year movie we prepared for her (a slide show of pictures from the past year set to music-we are planning on doing a video for all of our children each year until they are eighteen. We will see how that goes). Anyway, then we headed to Build-a-Bear. She had a great time picking out a bear. She essentailly wanted one of the first ones she spotted who was wearing a tutu (what a princess she is!). Anyway, she loved giving her bear a heart and went back to give her bear a bath about 10 times! Then she wanted to go to "Donald's (McDonald's) so we got her a happy meal and she got to play on the play area for a little while.After that we took her home to get a nap. So an hour and a half later she woke up and I got her up and she was not happy. We took her downstairs and started to feed her a snack and she threw up. She then would be happy for a little while and then it seemed like she didn't feel well again. She ended up throwing up 8 times over the next 4 hours. I called the nurses and she said to keep an eye on her and keep her hydrated but drinking seemed to make her throw up (though it was very little because there was nothing in her stomach). Anyway, TC made an icecream cake for her birthday and we had invited family over to watch her open her presents and it all kind of fell apart. My parents who are in town and my brother didn't come up in case it was a stomach flu but TC's mom and sisters still stopped by. However, Savanna did not even make it through all her presents and there are still 4 sitting waiting to be opened tomorrow. It was so sad to see her sick. She has never thrown up that many times and to be on her birthday. It just stinks! We are hoping she will just sleep it off and feel better in the morning but I will keep you all posted. To top things off TC has a bad cold and is not feeling very well so he is planning on calling in sick to work tomorrow so he can try to get better. Miracously, me being pregnant with the weakened immune system am feeling fine. Hopefully it stays that way and TC and Savanna will feel better and we can enjoy Christmas especially since we have a lot of family in town! We still don't know if Savanna has food poisoning or a stomach bug. We just hope she gets better soon and we stay healthy as well. Anyway, sad birthday huh? Any of you out there ever had sad birthdays? Or your children have had sad birthdays? But here are some pictures of her happy times today. Nonetheless today not being a great day, we have had so many wonderful moments and memories with Savanna over this past year and we are so grateful to have her as our daughter. She is such a precious little girl and the joy of our lives. Happy Birthday Sweetheart!
