Savanna Update
So I realized that it's been a little bit since I've updated about our sweet little girl. Savanna is doing well and getting older everyday. I was reflecting on her today-her personality, her likes, dislikes, etc and thought I would write them down. This blog is like a journal for me so feel free to skim down to the pictures if you like or read and enjoy!
Savanna's personality traits
1. Savanna is very verbal and loves to talk. She expresses herself well and likes to tell us what is on her mind.
2. Savanna is very physically and verbally affectionate to those she loves. She loves to sit on laps and signs and says "I love you" often. She will frequently give TC and I hugs and even has nickmanes for us: TC's is Dijo and mine is "Mimi". (She does not use these all the time for us just when she is in a silly/lovey dovey mood). She will often grab my face in her hands, look in my eyes and say, "MaMa Mimi" several times and then give me a kiss. It melts my heart!
3. Savanna is very interactive with adults she loves aka: TC and I, her aunts and uncles, and grandparents but not so much with children her age. (We are working on that. She is around children her age a lot but either ignores them or tells them that what she is playing with is "Mine!" She loves to be played with and loves attention. Whatever she is doing she wants someone to do with her though she has gotten a bit better about enetertaining herself than she used to be.
4. Savanna is shy when you first meet her. She will warm up to adults quite quickly in smaller groups but in larger groups she is more timid. In large groups of children, she is often the most quiet or timid one.
5. Savanna is very focused for a two year old. Although she is definetely active, she can sit and color for awhile or work on her puzzles. She also has no problem sitting through story time or our other classes and sitting and watching a video for a bit.
Savanna's Current Favorite Things
1. Princesses particulary Ariel! She loves Ariel! She has a princess book and reads it all the time and colors in her princess coloring book. My mom also just sent her an Ariel bath doll and she would not put it down for the first several hours she had it. She couldn't wait to take a bath so she could play with her in the tub! Though if you ask her if she is a princess or anyone else she will say no. Princesess are limited to:Ariel,Cinderlla, Belle and all the other Disney princesses.
2. Dogs-I don't think this will every change. She loves seeing her Aunt April's dog and will spot a dog wherever we go.
3. Books-Savanna is really loving reading books. She will sit and read book after book and loves to have a couple of books when she goes to bed at night.
4. Babies/Stuffed Animals: Her baby and her stuffed animals have become her best friends! She changes their diapers and they frequently eat breakfast with us in the morning or snacks in the afternoon.
5. Jumping-Savanna loves to jump all over the place. It is really cute.
6. The Temple!-I can't believe I almost forgot this one. Savanna always notices the temple when we are driving and talks about how pretty it is. We often will drive closer to it on our way home and she talks about how it is Jesus's house. Precious!
7. Shopping-You know how I said Savanna can sit for awhile and is not super hyper? Well this all goes out the window when we go shopping. She actually is really good in the grocery store but any type of clothing store or anything else she loves to run around. She gets so excited and wants to get out. She tries things on and tells me, "Mommy cute. Mommy buy it!" We have to constantly remind her to stay close to us or she ends up back in the cart (which often happens by the end of the trip).
8. Savanna sings all the time and it's adorable to listen to her. She often sings herself to sleep. Her favortie songs right now seem to be: 1. Snowman 2. Wheels on the Bus 3. God Bless America 4. Give said the Little String 5. ABC's
Savanna's Recent Accomplishments
1. Savanna knows all her colors!
2. Savanna can count to 10(sometimes she counts to eleven and sometimes she leaves out 4 and 5) but mostly she can do it.
3. Savanna is starting to identify some letters mostly the ones in her, TC's and I's name.
We love our little girl! Here are some fun pictures of her over this past month. (Finally got a camera! Thanks to TC's mom for sending an extra they weren't using!
Yes she is wearing my nylons and a Christmas bib-silly girl!
