Baby chicks!

TC and I have always said we're not pet people but TC really wanted to get baby chicks mostly for fresh eggs when they become chickens. I thought about it for a couple of days and decided to try it out. So he brought home 6 baby chicks on Friday he bought from a lady he works with. They are actually super cute and we are enjoying them so far. They are not too much work and the kids are loving holding them. We won't know the gender of the chicks until they're about 2 months and we'll have to sell or give away the male ones because we are not allowed to have roosters in our city because they are too noisy. It'll be fun to see how many are girls and how many are boys. TC will also have to build or buy a chicken coop. We can put them in a coop when they're about 2 months old. Should be a fun adventure!!
