Congratulations Jonathan!

My little brother, Jonathan, got his mission call! He opened it yesterday and we listened in on the phone as he read it. He is leaving September 16th to serve in the Canada, Calgary mission. He will be serving an English speaking mission though he thinks he may learn a little bit of French. We are very excited for you ,Jonathan, and know that you will be a great missionary! I still can't believe that you are old enough to go on a mission. It seems like just yesterday you were wearing your cowboy boots around the house and watching Thomas the Train! Time really does fly. We love you and will be praying for you through your whole mission!

Fourth of July weekend!

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend. We spent the weekend in Provo with my parents who are in town until Thursday. My cousin, Michael, also came down from Idaho and my brother's girlfriend, Paige, spent a lot of the weekend with us as well. TC had Friday off so we drove down in the morning and visited with our good friends, Bryan and Aleta, to start out. Then after Savanna's nap we headed over to 7 Peaks for a couple hours. We hung out at my parents' house that evening. Saturday was a fun filled day. We went to the parade in the morning and walked around the different booths on Center Street. Then that evening we had a barbeque with my family and then we all went to The Stadium of Fire. It was so fun!! I have never really heard anything about the Jonas brothers but they are pretty good actually. Against my better judgement, I found myself dancing to the beat. Savanna was great the whole weekend! She had so much fun with all the family. She missed the fireworks at the Stadium of Fire because she fell asleep right before but still had a great time. Sunday we went to my brother's ward and enjoyed my mom's wonderful pasta for dinner! We are grateful for our wonderful families and all they do for us! We are grateful for this amazing country and for the freedoms we enjoy! We appreciate all those who are serving our country and we pray for them and their families! My brother, Spenser, is in the military and we are so proud of him and his dedication to his country. We hope you all had a great 4th of July weekend. Enjoy the pictures!

So tired after the day's festivities! Stadium of Fire (Spenser got his ear muffs that he used for shooting to cover Savanna's ears so she the noise didn't hurt her ears. It was a life saver!) Obviously, this is Glen Beck

June Recap

So sorry that my last posts have been boring, rushed, and pictureless! Life has been a little crazy around here with moving and everything! Things are settling down a bit. Of course, they will just pick up again with family vacations and more fun stuff. So here is a recap of June events with some pictures as well for your enjoyment!
1. Moving Day-I promised I would put up some pictures of our big moving day so here they are. Thanks again to our friends and family who helped out. We appreciate you all so much!

Loading up the truck!

CHAOS!! When I look at these pictures I seriously re-experience the anxiety I felt then! ( I think I may have an anxiety disorder-lol. Not totally kidding.) Ashley was nice enough to entertain all the children while we loaded. Thanks Ash! (She is pregnant so that is why she couldn't help load.)

Unloading

The whole crew with the truck loaded up before heading to our new home! (Sorry these pics got a little out of order).

Packed to the brim!

2. Tribute to Uncle Manuel-On a sad note, my uncle passed away on June 11th. It was very sudden and unexpected so we were a bit shocked. My mom was out here helping us move and literally received the call from my aunt about his passing while we were loading our moving truck. She had to fly back to New Jersey for the funeral but is now here again because she wanted more time to spend with Savanna. We will miss Uncle Manuel and are keeping Aunt Myra in our prayers ever day!

3. Oquirrh Moutain Temple open house-We were able to attend this temple open house this past Saturday night with my mom and my cousn, Michael, who was in town for the weekend. It was a great evening and the temple is beautiful. I am so grateful to have so many temples close by! I forgot to bring my camera so unfortunately I don't have any pictures

4.Savanna update-So this has been a rought month for Savanna. I think her getting her molars and moving has contributed to her being more fussy than normal. She also is having a hard time in nursery in our new ward. It is weird because we took her for the first time last Sunday and she was fine and 30 minutes later one of the workers brought her to us and she was crying hysterically. She told me she got really upset when they put the toys away for singing time. Anyway, we tried to bring her back later that day and she started crying immediately when we walked in and she did the same thing this week. I do not believe it has to do with separation anxiety because it does not help if we stay in there and she was fine the first time we brought her. It seems like something happened that scared her. It is frustrating because she is so bored in our classes now and has learned how to just push out the Relief Society door and frequently tries to escape. Any suggestions from other moms who have transitioned their children to nursery? It is not like her to not want to go. She is around other children all the time. Maybe it is just because she is having other issues. Despite this being a more difficult month, we've still managed to have some fun. Savanna is loving the warm weather to play on the playground, swim, and be outside. Here are some pictures of her enjoying herself!

Savanna is obsessed with "doggies" lately. TC's sister, April, has a dog named Cricket and she brings her over to play and Savanna has so much fun with her! The last time April brought Cricket over Savanna cried for a good couple of minutes when she left. FYI, Savanna usually doesn't run around outside without pants on. It was just one of those days!

Farewell Provo!

So we moved on Saturday. It was a bittersweet day. Thank you to all of our wonderful friends who helped us move! We appreciate your friendship so much! We will miss living in Provo but hope to still keep in touch with our friends there. We have so many wonderful memories of our time there that we will treasure forever. I have fun pictures of our moving day that I will post later. We are getting settled in our new home but are not totally done. It is a lot of work!! I really hate moving. I really want to move as little as possible!

Welcome Copper!

So my good friend, Cassie, and her husband, Tim, had their baby girl, Copper, on June 8th. She is adorable and we are so happy for them! Congrats!! We are still waiting on a cute picture that I took of her on Cassie's camera because my battery was dead so no pictures for now. Just wanted to keep up my trend of honoring my friends' babies! And we are moving in 2 days-aaahh!!

Painting is the worst thing in the world!

TC and I attempted to paint our house this weekend-thanks to all those that helped-our friend, Chris, and April-TC's sister who spent hours taping! Anyway, it was a disaster. We hate it-got it on the ceilings and everywhere. It is just not our thing. Anyway, so my awesome brother, Spenser, and his friend decided to finish it for us! We are so grateful for them doing that! Spenser was up there all day yesterday and headed up again this afternoon. Thank you so much Spenser and Trent!! We owe you big time. We should be moving in 4 days! Crazy!

We are Homeowners..well almost!

We closed on our house today! All the paperwork should go through tomorrow and we can get our keys and we will officially be homeowners! So yes we are very excited! Of course, I am also nervous to have the responsibility of having a house, sad to leave our home and friends here, etc, overwhelmed with moving and everything. TC doesn't understand how I can have so many different, conflicting emotions! He is just pretty much excited and that's it! Oh how I wish I wasn't so complex! Anyway, life is crazy right now getting ready to move and we are painting this weekend but it is good. We hope to be happy in our new home and we hope our friends here don't forget us! We are not that far.

Here we are celebrating at the Olive Garden for lunch
