One of our Family's Heros

A picture of our family with Nathan (my kids apparently did not want to cooperate for the picture). The white bracelets you see were "Conquer cancer" bracelets we wore throughout Nathan's cancer treatments. So this past weekend we were so excited to be able to celebrate with TC's cousin, Nathan, at his cancer free party. Nathan went into the emergency room late March with severe stomach cramps only to find out that he had Stage 4 Burkett's lymphoma. He had to start intense chemotherapy treatments almost immediately which resulted in long hosptial stays and isolation so he would not become sick. After a long 3 months we are so grateful and excited to know that Nathan's cancer is in remission. He along with his amazing wife, Julianne, and their two kids have been so strong through this whole process and have been such an inspiration to us and others of how to have faith and perserverance through difficult trials. We have heard that Nathan was known for his optimism and strength by his hospital nurses. He also was known for walking miles around the hospital (He was training to run a marathon when he found out he had lymphoma and is planning on running a half marathon soon). We love you Nathan and Julianne! We were so happy to be there for the celebration and you really do know how to throw a good party! We continue to pray every day that Nathan remains healthy and strong!
