Recent Savanna Quotes

So sorry if you are getting sick of these posts about all the cute things Savanna are saying but she has been saying some really funny stuff lately and do I not want to forget any of it. So here are a few more so I can read them again later and get a good laugh.

Savanna: "Mommy do Nana and Papa want a baby? Are they going to get a baby soon?"Me: "No Savanna. They have already had all their kids so now they get to have grandchildren. Savanna:"Then what about a dog?"
(To me) "I have a Mommy. She is really cute and funny and she takes care of me. You are a pretty little girl named Mom."
(At the aviary last night) TC: "Savanna do not feed those gold fish to the ducks." Savanna: "I'm not feeding the gold fish to the ducks. I am feeding the gold fish to myself."
(One morning to me at breakfast. A little background. We usually shop at Wal Mart and the 1% milk has a blue cap but the other day TC picked up some milk for us at Harmon's and the 1% milk there has a green cap.) "Mommy, Daddy got milk for me with a green cap instead of a blue cap isn't that crazy? Why did he do that? That is just crazy."
"I get to watch a movie today because I have a sickness."
(Saturday morning she woke up earlier right as I was leaving to run) "Mommy you really need to go running. You should really go. Daddy and I are going to watch a movie." (Ha ha she knows that TC will let her watch a movie more easily than me. She wanted me out of there before I decided not to let her watch a movie.)
"Mommy we can't go anywhere because someone will get my sickness."

How We Met

We met when both of us lived in the same apartment complex and were attending the same singles ward. We became acquainted as friends when one of Ashley's roomates was interested in one of TC's roommates and always wanted to hang out at their apartment. Ashley came along for moral support. Ashley has to admit that her initial impression of TC was not the greatest. She was wondering why he was trying to act like such a "tough guy" by shaving his head and going by TC. One day she asked him why he didn't grow his hair out to which he replied that he could not and she also learned that he goes by TC to distinguish himself from his father who is named Thomas Clark and his grandfather who is Thomas Clarence. TC relates that when he first met Ashley he thought she was cute and was contemplating asking her out or another girl in the ward. He did think Ashley was slightly immature because she was engaging in often frivolous activities such as throwing water balloons out her apartment window at people walking by and wrestling with guys in the apartment lounge. (She has grown up since then, TC says!) TC decided to give it a go and ask Ashley out after he came home from a trip visiting his sister, April, in Arizona. His roommates related that Ashley had expressed an interest in him. (Actually Ashley's roommate was trying to hook her up with TC and told his roommates Ashley wanted to go out with him. Ashley did not entirely object.) So TC called Ashley and asked her to go with a group to Pirates of the Caribbean. Their first official single date was to Wendy's (Way to go, TC, lol) TC and Ashley dated exclusively for about a year before becoming engaged in December of 2004 and were then married on April 23rd, 2005 and it has been bliss ever since!

About Us

TC grew up in Washington and Ashley grew up in Southern Florida. TC is the oldest and has three sisters and one brother. Ashley is the oldest and has two younger brothers. Both attended Brigham Young University-Ashley majoring in Psychology and TC in Biotechnology. Ashley received a Master's degree from the University of Utah in Social Work. Both enjoy bowling, tennis, racquetball, and watching movies. They also like music and both play the piano and sing. They enjoy spending time with friends and family.
